Orthopaedic Physiotherapy
Nasir Mughees
Founder & Clinical Director · Orthopaedic Physiotherapy
Nasir Mughees is the founder of DNPR and the clinician who signs off its treatment protocols. He has been treating patients since 2008, qualified BPT in 2009 and completed his MPT in orthopaedic physiotherapy in 2012, both at the Prakash Institute of Physiotherapy and Allied Medical Sciences.
Most of those years were spent running physiotherapy departments inside multi-speciality hospitals in West and South West Delhi rather than a standalone clinic. That is where DNPR's model came from: therapists who are used to working alongside orthopaedic surgeons, neurologists and physicians, and who see patients through the whole arc of a recovery rather than for a handful of sessions.
What he treats
His own caseload is largely musculoskeletal — back and neck pain, frozen shoulder, knee osteoarthritis, sciatica — along with rehabilitation after joint replacement, ACL reconstruction and spinal surgery. He also carries the post-stroke and neurological caseload that DNPR's hospital units were built around.
Training beyond the degree
Alongside the MPT, he is certified in osteopathic and chiropractic technique, cervical and full-body manipulation, myofascial release, IASTM, dry needling, cupping, kinesio taping, and the neuro-developmental technique used in paediatric and post-stroke rehabilitation. He is a member of the Indian Association of Physiotherapists.
Outside the clinic
He presented two series on physiotherapy for All India Radio's health programme in 2017 and 2018, and has run free physiotherapy camps for Delhi Police personnel. He has been recognised for work with a national NGO supporting children in Delhi's slum settlements and with a local old age home.
Clinical sign-off
Every condition, treatment and service page on this site is reviewed by a qualified physiotherapist before it is published, and shows who reviewed it and when. Nasir Mughees is the clinical lead for that review.
